Salomi Pogu, the recently rescued Chibok girl, has been handed over to the federal government through the national security adviser Babagana Monguno by Borno Governor, Kashim Shettima. Shettima informed the NSA that Salome Pogu, 19, hails from Haumutayahi village Of Chibok local government area.
She was found on the 4th of January 2018, and handed over to Borno State Government on 9th January.
Shettima said: “We have done all the necessary medical investigations and treatment before bringing her to you for psychotherapy and reintegration as was done to the other girls rescued.”
He added that the state will partner with the office of the NSA to rehabilitate Salomi Pogu before putting her back to school.
In his remarks, the NSA appreciated the efforts and commitment of Shettima towards ending the Boko Haram crisis as well as his determination towards the rescue of the remaining Chibok girls.
He informed the governor that Salomi and her friend would immediately undergo psychosocial therapy under the federal government..
Jamila has a 16 month old baby.
She was abducted In pulka with her sister in 2015.
